NYC Weekend Traffic Updates – December 9-10

Holiday season is officially in full swing, making it the perfect time of the year to visit New York City. From the 5th Avenue Window Displays to the Bryant Park Tree Lighting there’s quite a lot going on this weekend to enjoy. No matter where you are headed, Icon has you (and your car) covered!

To make navigating around Manhattan a little easier this time of year we are sharing some traffic tips on street closures and related festivals and events, courtesy of our friends at the NYC Department of Transportation. Street Closures

East 15th Street between 5th Avenue and Union Square West

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

East 19th Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue

This street will be closed Sunday from 9 am to 9 pm.

West 20th Street between 8th Avenue and 7th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

Lexington Avenue between East 22nd Street and East 23rd Street

This street will be closed 12:01 am Saturday to 4 am Monday.

West 59th Street between 12th Avenue and West End Avenue

This street will be closed 6 am to 9 pm Saturday and Sunday.

East 68th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

East 71st Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

East 73rd Street between 1st Avenue and York Avenue/Sutton Place

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

East 85th Street between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and Sunday from 6 am to 9 pm.

East 89th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

Murray Street between West Street and Greenwich Street

This street will be closed 5 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday.

Greenwich Street between Rector Street and Carlisle Street

This street will be closed 10 pm Friday through 11:59 pm Sunday.

Worth Street between Centre Street and Baxter Street

This street will be closed from 12:01 am Saturday through 11:59 pm Sunday.

Ericsson Place between Hudson Street and Varick Street

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.
